We are a volunteer community garden in Hackney, London, UK. We have been up and running for 3 years, consisting of about 40 residents from various age and cultural groups, who have been growing food in a previously disused space on the estate. We have just been given our second site to expand to meet growing demand, so watch this space to follow the next phase of our project!

Worms!!
Recently, some students from UCL Engineering built a large scale wormery, designed for community gardens and have brought it to the garden for us. I am going to be looking after it and went down there today to check it out - one of our resident gardeners had kindly added the waste from his just harvested cauliflower.
